The Ipanema Tower is the all-new heart of Rio Hotel & Casino: 1,501 suites gutted and rebuilt in phase one of a $340 million transformation completed in fall 2024, when the resort became Nevada’s first Destination by Hyatt hotel. Standard suites run 582 square feet - nearly double a typical Vegas room - with sectional sofas that pull out to queen beds, 65-inch TVs, walk-in showers, and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Strip or the mountains. Downstairs, the 117,000-square-foot casino has a refreshed gaming floor, a wall-of-screens Race & Sports Book, KISS by Monster Mini Golf, and a brand-new fitness center stocked with Peloton bikes.
Rio sits on Flamingo Road directly west of Caesars Palace, about five minutes from center Strip with free self-parking when you return. Dinner options climb all the way to the 50th floor, where chef James Trees carves prime rib tableside at High Steaks Vegas, one story below the panoramic VooDoo Lounge.
