Karma Bayon
AWAITS YOU
Karma Bayon is Cambodia’s debut Karma property, built on Bakheng Road in Svay Dangkum Village on the edge of central Siem Reap. The design leans hard into traditional Khmer craft, with carved hardwood, tiered timber ceilings and stone soaking tubs set into the floor, all wrapped around private gardens and two outdoor swimming pools. Accommodation runs from Hotel Unit doubles and 45 square metre Studio Twins up to Studio For Four family suites and four free-standing wooden villas named Angkor, Bakheng, Bayon and Banteay Srei. A Karma Spa sits on site alongside a members’ bar.
The restaurant serves traditional Khmer cooking beside international and Indian dishes, either al fresco under the trees or in the air-conditioned dining room. This is the place to try amok trey, the fish curry steamed in banana leaves, or nom banh chok noodles at breakfast. The Old Market and the bars of Pub Street sit minutes away, and the Angkor Archaeological Park is the reason most people come: Angkor Wat at sunrise, the stone faces of the Bayon, and the strangler figs swallowing Ta Prohm. Siem Reap Angkor International Airport is about 40 km out, roughly an hour by road.
