The Maverick Resort is a seven-story tower on S Atlantic Avenue, reopened in December 2025 after a renovation closure and marked out front by the bronze rearing horse that gives the property its name. Every condo here looks at the Atlantic, so a studio or a one-bedroom means waking to surf and stepping onto a private balcony for the sunrise. The renovation brought updated finishes, a standard kitchen stocked with the essentials, and a dedicated workspace to each unit. The building sits on stilts above its own free parking, an elevator serves all seven floors, and the front desk is staffed around the clock.

Outside, the centerpiece is a beachfront pool steps from the sand, edged by a sun deck of loungers, an outdoor Jacuzzi, a shaded pergola and a circular fire pit ringed in turquoise Adirondack chairs. A covered oceanfront deck and a BBQ grill station carry the evenings. Ormond Beach is the calmer stretch of coast just north of Daytona, and W Granada Boulevard, over the Halifax River causeway, holds 31 Supper Club and Rose Villa Southern Table & Bar. The Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail winds off through live oak canopy and salt marsh, and the ancient trees of Bulow Creek State Park stand a short drive inland.
